STAR CHAPTER 496
September Meeting
9/24/11
Van Devender Camp House
Mark called meeting to order @ 5:30.
After reading charter he discussed patch placement.
He passed out copies of agenda for Starbalaya and group discussed plans for who would be riding over Friday night and who would be riding over on Saturday. Saturday riders will meet @ MCC Workforce development at 6:00am.
Buck gave details of charity ride for a breast cancer survivor.
Ride will meet at Gaddis Park in Forest @ 9:00am on October 15th. Ride entry is $25.00
Any of our group interested in participating in ride will meet @ MCC Workforce at 8:00.
Vonie’ invited everyone to Halloween open house at their home on October 22nd beginning at 4:00.
All ages are welcome and it is a come and go event.
There will be no LOS night or Men’s ride night this month due to all the other activities.
The next monthly meeting will be at Queen City Truck Stop on October 25th.
Monthly ride will be to Butlerfest on October 8th. Meet at MCC Workforce @ 9:00.
Some riders are planning a trip to the Dragon’s Tail from October 21st through Oct 23rd.
Chase reported that we sold 37 raffle tickets for $1.00 each during Lowe’s safety day.$10.00 in expenses were incurred, but coloring kits were left over that can be used for next event. Vonie’ suggested checking on getting more child-friendly info on website.
Mark asked that pictures taken @ Lowe’s day be sent in with a write-up, so they can be forwarded to Steve Leslie for posting on website. He also encouraged new riders present to sign up for membership with group. At least 30 riders were in attendance along with numerous kids and grandkids.
Patch design and October 29th ride will be topics at next meeting.
